The TAG Fitness Counterbalanced Smith Machine guides the lifting bar along fixed vertical tracks for controlled squats, presses, lunges, calf raises, and related strength exercises. Linear bearings support smooth bar travel, while a counterbalance reduces the starting resistance to approximately 14 lbs. Users rotate the bar to engage the catches at eight available racking heights, allowing the working position to change for different exercises and body sizes.
Adjustable Safeties with Band-Resistance Options
Heavy-duty stainless-steel catches and adjustable safety stops provide defined racking and lower travel points throughout the exercise range. Lower-frame band pegs allow compatible resistance bands to be added for accommodating resistance during presses or squats. The 11-gauge steel mainframe and black powder-coated finish prepare the machine for repeated training in home gyms, schools, athletic rooms, studios, and commercial facilities.
