Home & Gym Smith Racks
Our linear bearing smith machines help produce a safer workout experience and allow users to workout at or near their limits with added safety. Linear bearings simply refers to the drive system most often used with smith workout machines, especially commercial grade models. The weight bar is connected to a metal housing that contains bearings. That housing moves up and down on cold rolled steel tubes to produce a smooth and heavy-duty drive system that fairs well for long periods, even in harsh commercial gym settings.
Many of our smith machines offer a counterbalanced bar system to reduce the overall starting workout weight. Counterbalanced smith machines simply use a cable system with a counterbalance weight, most often hidden within the frame of the smith machine. This lightens the overall bar weight, so the starting weight for novice users, those at lower fitness levels or those wanting to use lighter weight with higher reps, can workout within their desired weight and rep range.
We also offer 3D Smith Machines and Jones Machines. These unique smith racks allow the range of motion to move in two different planes simultaneously, up and down, plus, front to back. This helps replicate a more natural range of motion during the workout, versus a traditional smith machine that can only move in a linear path, up and down.
Smith weight machines are a great addition to home gyms, school weight rooms, apartment exercise rooms and other commercial fitness facilities looking to add a safer free weight experience to their clientele. Plus, we offer our best prices with free shipping nationwide on our full line of smith press machines!
