Supermats 4x6 Rubber Floor Mats are made in the USA from 100% recycled rubber. They fit snug side by side and offer excellent protection against free weights, such as dumbbells and weight plates.
The 3/8" thick mats are ideal for home gyms, while the 1/2" and 3/4" thick mats are ideal for any gym setting, home, light commercial or commercial.
Due to their size, weight and surface area, these protective 4x6 mats rarely need any type of adhesive, especially when placing multiple mats side by side. If a mat edge begins to raise over time, we recommend starting with a commercial grade double-sided carpet tape. If that doesn't stop the area from raising, turn to adhesives as the last resort.
Going "adhesive-free" offers several benefits. The mats can be moved for cleaning, changing facility location and flipped after years of use to show a new, unused side.
Note* Supermats Rubber 4x6 Gym Mats are not like typical "Horse Stall Mats". These mats are specifically made to reduce the strong rubber odor associated with cheaper horse stall mats.
This reduced rubber smell is highly beneficial in closed room settings, such as fitness rooms, exercise rooms and weight rooms. There will still be a rubber smell that will dissipate over time, but it will not be nearly as strong as cheaper stall mats designed for outdoor use.
