Keep plates in place and weight changes simple with 1-inch standard and 2-inch Olympic spring clips and quick-release clamps for home or commercial training.

Compare Barbell Spring Clips & Quick-Release Clamps

Switching plates between sets should be straightforward, and the right collar helps. Working with a 1-inch bar at home? Pair standard bars for home strength workouts with properly sized spring clips for convenient plate changes. For 2-inch sleeves, compare squeeze-handle Olympic spring collars with quick-release clamps from Muscle Clamp and York Barbell; both hold compatible plates in place but use different locking actions. If you're upgrading Olympic bars for strength and weightlifting, think about how frequently you change weights and which mechanism feels easiest to use. TAG Fitness, Troy USA Sports, and York also offer familiar spring-collar options. Threaded standard bars need matching spin-lock collars rather than ordinary spring clips. Before buying, confirm sleeve diameter, collar design, and the product's intended Home Use or Commercial classification. Finish your setup with weight plates sized for your bar, and enjoy free shipping from Gtech Fitness®.
