Convenient and simple to use - love the PowerBlock Sport 2.4
I'm a retiree who had to give up the gym due to rotator cuff issues. Now being post-repair, I am restarting weight training. The Powerblock Sport 2.4 is great with one pair of dumbbells that go from 6 to 24 pounds each. Very easy to use and store. Best to rest them on a stand or eye-level table for flawless weight changing. If I out grow them, will buy the next weight level up. GTech Fitness had the best prices.
Love the product and the service
I have been watching the folks at Fitness Blender use Powerblocks for years so I knew they worked and worked well, but the cost has always given me pause, especially since on their website Powerblock charges $35 shipping. $35!!! That's why I was thrilled to find GTech. I was a tad leery at first because it sounded too good to be true - free shipping when the actual manufacturer charges a ton more? Plus I had never heard of GTech before and it only came up in my Google search because they have good SEO I guess. I almost went with Amazon because I know them and trust them, but the weights were more expensive there. So I took a leap of faith with GTech and spent $300 on 2 pairs of weights, and I am so glad I did! Within an hour of my placing the order I got an email from an actual person from GTech who wanted to confirm that I wanted two pairs. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the service orientation that this business displayed. I will definitely be buying from them again!
Now about the product. It is AWESOME. Every single review that said that you will be able to lift heavier with these weights is spot on. The first day I got them I was lifting 3-6 pounds more than I usually do. They are extremely comfortable, easy to switch, and such a space saver. Fair warning: they are NOT kidding about needing a flat surface. If you have carpeted flooring and don't want to invest in their stand, make sure you have a table that can withstand their weight because you cannot switch weights on carpet. I mean, you can, but it's a pain and not worth the trouble. Also, the cat likes to gnaw on the string that connects the pin to the main weight, so just a warning to those with cats at home. I just make sure to store them wall facing so the cat can't get to the stringy part. But overall, worth every penny.
