Olympic Adapters

Olympic Adapters are used to help adapt 1" plate loaded weight machine posts to a 2" diameter Olympic Plate. Gtech Fitness offers Olympic Adapters from Body Solid and York Barbell Company.

It is often asked if an olympic adapter can be used on a regular or standard size bar for use with Olympic Plates. This is not recommended by Gtech, as the adapters can be slightly off center due to their design, effecting the quality of the exercise movement. Plus, Olympic Adapters are do not lock on tight enough to be rendered safe for this type of use.

Olympic Adapters are perfect for plate loaded machines, such as Body Solid machines, or other plate loaded machines that use a 1" standard size diameter post.
